STUMP THRUST SYSTEMS

The STTM range of sports floors is available in three differing levels of performance. When combined with the most technically advanced PRTM Cushion Pad or Thrust-A-CushionTM (T-A-C) Pads they provide a level of player comfort never seen before on this type of construction.

Engineering: Each application is designed to meet the individual facilities requirements, paying particular attention to site conditions, building design, designated sports and current or future seating. The STTM Cushion System range of floors are independently engineered on a case-by-case basis for specific applications.

Technical Achievements: Traditionally, pier and beam (bearer and joist) construction had restricted design characteristics. This type of construction now offers resilient floors all the way through to fully floating area-elastic and point-elastic floor systems. Designed to cater for high point loads while showing considerable attention to the DIN 18032 Part 2 & EN 1490-2006 Standards.

Versatility: The STTM Cushion System range of floors are an ideal choice when encountering sloping sites, sites with rocky or bad soil conditions and contaminated areas where a slab on the ground would be excessively expensive.

STTM 1 CUSHION SYSTEM

STTM 1 CUSHION SYSTEM has the pier positioned within the footing. A Stump Pad is fitted on top of the stump, then bearers and joists are fixed into position. Directly fixed to the top of the joists is the selected hardwood timber species. It has limited resiliency, is easy to install and is very economical.

STTM 2 CUSHION SYSTEM

STTM 2 CUSHION SYSTEM incorporates the same components as the STTM 1 Cushion System. However, unique cushioned brackets are fixed on top of the bearer and directly below the joist, then a CDX plywood layer is added. Giving added strength, stability and enhanced resiliency.

Finish Flooring: 19mm to 22mm thick continuous tongue and groove flooring machined to ASF’s requirements.
Framing: Piers to suit kiln dried bearers and joists (treatment optional).
Subfloor: 12mm CDX treated plywood.
Cushion Pads: STTM 2 padded bracket.
Construction Levels: Most local authorities require a minimum of 400mm ground clearance under the bearers. Bearers, joists and stumps to be in accordance with the site engineer’s design.
Performance: Manufactured to ASF’s standards. Complies or exceeds Australian, New Zealand and MFMA standards.
Applications: Basketball, netball, volleyball, stadiums.

STTM 3 CUSHION SYSTEM

STTM 3 CUSHION SYSTEM is constructed with the same piers, bearers and joists. Fixed to the top of the joists are PRTM Cushion Pads, then two layers of CDX plywood and the selected hardwood timber species. This system provides the most uniform resiliency, maximum quietness and strength.

Finish Flooring: 19mm to 22mm thick continuous tongue and groove flooring machined to ASF’s requirements.
Framing: Piers to suit kiln dried bearers and joists (treatment optional).
Subfloor: 12mm CDX treated plywood.
Cushion Pads: T-A-C Pad.
Construction Levels: Most local authorities require a minimum of 400mm ground clearance under the bearers. Bearers, joists and stumps to be in accordance with the site engineer’s design.
Performance: Manufactured to ASF & FIBA’s standards. Complies or exceeds Australian, New Zealand and MFMA standards.
Applications: Basketball, netball, volleyball, stadiums, sports arenas, church halls. Often caters for retractable seating.
